Welcome to South View Community Preschool.

South View Community Preschool  became part of South View Community Primary School in September 2025.  

Our ethos is for children to learn through play and exploration in surroundings where all families are welcomed, valued and enabled to become part of our learning community. Our role is to provide a safe, stimulating environment where, with the support of our highly qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff, children can develop at their own individual pace.

Thorough knowledge of a range of Theorists (including Piaget, Bruner and Vygotsky) and Early Years Approaches (such as Froebel, Te Whariki and Reggio Emilia) underpins all our practice. This enables us to provide exciting opportunities to engage and extend learning with all our children whatever their interests and enthusiasms.  Children are offered a wide variety of activities and situations in which they will be encouraged to use their imagination and advance their social skills.
